For the two AI-optimised resumes, I instructed Chat GPT with clear and concise instructions that outlined exactly what I needed to be done without any room for misinterpretation. Between the original document and the AI-optimised versions, I noticed that ChatGPT highlighted skills that could be useful for the job for which the AI was optimising the document for. Chat GPT also analysed my previous work experience and emphasised how tasks that I performed during my previous employment provided experience that would be beneficial for a person entering the field that Chat GPT was optimising the document for. While engineering the prompts for Chat GPT to optimise my resume, I noticed that if I wrote anything even slightly unclear, the answer I would receive contained unnecessary or unwanted data in the newly optimised resumes. In order to avoid this issue, I learned that I have to create perfectly clear prompts in order to get my desired outcome.
